LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2023/24 – Update #24 (Feb. 14, 2024)

Family Friday: This Friday, February 16th, will be a Family Friday.  This half-day of school begins the long weekend, with no school on Monday, February 19th.  (Family Friday details: LINK

Thrivent Choice:  Logos School is proud to be a Thrivent Choice®-enrolled organization. Through the Thrivent programs, we are eligible to receive grant dollars, fee-free donations, and support from Thrivent Action Team service projects. If you are a Thrivent member, you can direct your Thrivent Choice dollars to Logos and use your Action Team project to help make our upcoming Benefit Auction a success! ————-  ELEMENTARY ————

Assembly Logos West:   This Friday, February 16th, Mrs. Unger’s 4th graders will be putting on their play in the Logos West campus gym. The show will open with a 4th-grade recitation (Darrah / Sumpter).  Everything begins at 8:35.  All are welcome to attend. 

————-  SECONDARY ————

Secondary Worldview Assembly: Parents, please join us for our worldview assembly on February 16th at 11:45 am in the Logos Fieldhouse for Dr. Ben Merkle’s presentation on Cultural Marxism.   Then enjoy the afternoon with your students on Family Friday

Dialectic Speech Meet Assembly:  Please mark your calendars for the Dialectic Speech Meet Assembly on Friday, February 23, from 12:40-1:30 pm in the gym.  A few 7th- 9th-grade students who demonstrated excellence during the speech meet will have the opportunity to present before the student body.  Parents are encouraged to attend.  

————- ACTIVITIES  ————

District Basketball begins Friday night in Logos Fieldhouse. Our varsity boys host Troy HS in a 1st round game at 7:00 pm. District Tournament play will continue next week at Lewiston HS. Ticket Prices for all District Tournament games are:

$7 Adults     $6 Students Grades 7-12     $0 Preschool

$6 Seniors     $5 Students Grades K-5     No Logos/Alumni passes will be accepted

HS Spring Sports! HS Track and HS Lacrosse begin practice on February 23rd. HS Golf begins February 26th. Students interested in spring sports should contact the head coach for more details. You can contact Coach Gwen Spencer for track, Coach Ian McManus for lacrosse, and Coach Phil Shepard for golf. Email addresses are available on the links above.
