Feed the Need

Mark your calendars!

Our 7th annual Feed the Need Community Project and Student Fundraiser is coming up on Thursday, November 4!

According to the latest U.S. Census Bureau numbers, 18% of Latah County house- holds are living below the poverty line. Many of these households have experienced serious food insecurity in the last year.

Our students in 1st-12th grade, in partnership with Homestead Ministries, will spend the day packaging 10,000+ meals to meet a real need on the Palouse. These soup packets will be distributed to food banks, clinics, and churches in both Latah and Whitman Counties.

This event is student driven, led by our upperclassmen, whose hard work and patient instruction and guidance of all the little hands and feet is a wonderful representation of their Logos teachers. This is also a student fundraiser and we encourage our students of all ages to collect pledge money in sponsorship of the meals they package. What a wonderful opportunity for community members to see and hear from our students!

Every student in grades 1-12 will receive a Logos Knights t-shirt the day of the event to wear while packaging meals and they will come home with your student to keep. Students who raise $75 or more in sponsorship pledges will receive a performance fabric long sleeve Knights t-shirt. There is also a class competition! Classes in grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12 will be competing to see which class collects the most sponsorship money. Winning classes will receive a pizza party lunch the week following the Feed the Need Event.
