Reenrollment:  The deadline for current students to reenroll is Wednesday, January 31st.  In February, we will begin accepting new students into available openings.  Thank you to those of you who have completed this process already! 

24-25 Calendar: Thank you for your feedback on the calendar survey.  The school board has approved next year’s calendar. A few notable items for this coming year: 

• We will return to a full week of fall break. 

• We will have one week of spring break that corresponds to all three local colleges (it is rare that UI, WSU, and NSA all take the same week off). 

• We will have one week of Easter break in the 4th quarter since Easter is so much later in the year.

Illness Policy: Please don’t send sick kids to school.  This is in the student’s best interest and in an effort to minimize the spread of illness.  Please see our Guidelines for Keeping Sick Children at Home.  

————-  ELEMENTARY ————

Spelling Bee: On Monday, February 5th, 3rd-6th elementary students will compete in their in-class spelling bee.  The top two finishers will go on to compete in an elementary spelling bee showdown on February 8th at Logos West.  The top two 2nd graders from each class will also be competing in a 2nd-grade showdown at Logos South on February 9th! Check your child’s HAS for more information. 

————-  SECONDARY ————

Secondary Worldview Assembly: Our next worldview assembly will be on Friday, February 16th, in the Logos Fieldhouse.  Dr. Ben Merkle will address the student body on Cultural Marxism.  We encourage parents to attend this assembly and then spend the afternoon with their student(s) on this Family Friday.  

Dialectic Speech Meet:  Please mark your calendars for the Dialectic Speech Meet assembly on Friday, February 23, 12:40-1:30 pm.  A few of the 7th- 9th-grade students who demonstrated excellence during the speech meet will have the opportunity to present before the student body.  Parents are encouraged to attend. 

————- ACTIVITIES  ————

Senior Night for Boys Basketball: This Friday February 2nd, Logos plays Clearwater Valley at home.  We will honor our senior basketball player before the tipoff of the varsity game.   This is the last regular season basketball game in Logos Fieldhouse this year.  

Choir at All State:  This week, the Logos Chamber Choir is performing at the IMEA Music conference in Nampa. Congratulations to the Choir on being the selected choir to receive this high honor at All State.
