LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2023/24 – Update #20 (Jan 17, 2024)

————-  GENERAL  ————-

Re-enrollment for current students for next year (24-25) is open through January 31st.  In February, we will begin admitting new students from our waiting pool.

Family Friday: Our next half-day will be this Friday, Jan 19.  (More info: LINK)  Release Times on Family Fridays:  (no lunch on all campuses)

  • Logos East dismissal at 11:40. The PK section will not meet on Friday afternoon.
  • Logos South dismissal: 1st at 11:50, 2nd at 12:00
  • Logos West Elementary dismissal at 12:15
  • Secondary dismissal at 12:30, after the assembly.

Cancellation or Delayed Start Time:  Logos School very rarely closes, but in case of closure or delay due to severe weather, Mr. Whitling or Mr. Euhus will send out an official email by 7 am. Closure/delay information will also be posted on our website, specifically as an update on the “Parent Portal” page.  Do not assume that Logos School is closed if other schools are closed; every school district makes its own determination.  If Logos School stays open and you do not think it safe to travel to school, please do what you deem best for your family. We will help students make up any missed work.

————-  ELEMENTARY ————

Assembly Logos West:   This Friday, January 19th, Mrs. Bradley’s and Mrs. Akin’s class of 3rd graders will be putting on a play based on a famous book in the Logos West campus gym. The show will open with a recitation by Miss Anderson’s 6th graders.  Everything begins at 8:35.  All are welcome to attend.

————-  SECONDARY ————

Worldview Assembly: Mark your calendars for the next worldview assembly this Friday, January 19th, from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm in the Logos Fieldhouse.  Pastor Wilson will address the secondary students on the topic of “Wokeness.”  Parents are encouraged to attend.

Knights’ Fest: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (1/24-26) next week is Knights’ Fest for our secondary students! Students in Grades 7-12 will not have class during this time but will take part in a series of talks and activities around the theme of “Working Unto the Lord and Not to Men.”  Attendance will be taken each day of Knights’ Fest.  Students are expected to be on campus and participate in activities during regular school hours. Off-campus lunch privileges will remain in place for Wednesday and Thursday.  Friday will be the Knights’ Fest feast in the gym.  Please arrange for planned absences through Mrs. Farley.  If a student needs to leave campus during the school day, they must excuse themselves from their activity and sign out at the front office.  Please help us maintain accurate accountability of the student body by reinforcing this message with your children.

Tutor Available:  Mr. Aiden Dixon, a master’s student at Hillsdale College, is available to tutor secondary students in the following subjects:  history, literature, logic, or rhetoric.
