LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2017 – #16

General

Fight’n Knight Day! This Friday students (elementary and secondary) are welcome to wear their Logos t-shirts and nice jeans to celebrate Trivia Day, the end of final exams, and last day before Christmas break.

 

Elementary

Kindergarten Play: This Friday Mrs. Sawyer’s class will be putting on a Christmas play. The show will open with a 2nd grade (Wilson) recitation at 8:35 AM. All are welcome to attend.

 

Secondary

Trivia Day: This Friday, after finals, we will play our traditional game of “Logos Trivial Pursuit” and have a pizza party.  Guys: please bring six “individual” drinks – cans of pop, bottles of water, or Gatorade (No two-liter bottles please).  Ladies: please bring something for dessert.

 

 

Secondary Student Surveys

We have our secondary students evaluate each class they take twice a year. Here are a few things that students had to say about Mrs. Merkle this semester:

 

-I look forward to Mrs. Merkle’s class every day. It is my favorite class this year. Every day is really fun and I really enjoy reading the books.

-Mrs. Merkle is a really good teacher. Class is really fun and productive at the same time.

-Mrs. Merkle pulls many different topics in to class and connects them, making class interesting and fun.

-She knows a lot about the material and is eager to help us understand it.

-Mrs. Merkle makes very effective arguments.

-She is not monotonous and loves to talk about biblical issues with us.

-I appreciate her storytelling ability. It is essential for teachers to be good storytellers.

-She really enjoys the material she teaches.

-She starts good discussions.

-Nothing fazes Mrs. Merkle-great teacher.

-She enjoys working with students. Fat Fridays are fun.

-She is always very chipper in class, and is always willing to help students with questions.

-She is energetic and makes class a blast.

-She’s constantly cheerful, very funny, and always in the best of moods.

-She simultaneously manages to teach us stuff while being one of the most fun people on the planet.

-I love Mrs. Merkle’s sense of humor and the way she teachers class. She is very funny, and my favorite teacher.

-She is a very humorous and witty teacher, and can bring us out of the dumps extremely quickly.
