LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2017 – #15
Christmas Program: Our Christmas Program rehearsal will take place this Thursday morning December 7. Please drop your child off at the Nazarene Church between 8:10- 8:30 (all preschool-6th graders and 7th-11th grade students who are in choir). Secondary students who are not in choir will have class as usual. We will bus the students back to school afterward. Preschool Families: If your child does not have school that Thursday morning, please remain at the Nazarene Church until the rehearsal is over so that you can bring your child home-thank you!
Attire for performers…
Elementary: Logos dress uniform (young ladies may wear a special Christmas dress if desired, and young men are welcome to wear blazers).
Secondary: Logos dress uniform only. Blazers for young men and women are welcome.
Uniforms: This Friday is not a dress uniform day. Students will wear their normal Monday-Thursday uniforms to school on Friday since many of them will have been in dress uniform the night before for the Christmas Program.
Fight’n Knight Day: This Tuesday is a Fight’n Knight Day! Come out and cheer for the high school boys teams as they take on Deary tomorrow night.
Saturday Hoops: All Logos 2nd through 6th grade boys are cordially invited to participate in a series of basketball clinics that will focus on the fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling, and defense. All clinics will take place on Saturdays from 9 – 11 AM in the Logos gym and will be coached and directed by Jed Whitling and Logos High School basketball players on the following dates: Dec. 9, 16, 30 & Jan. 6. The cost is $25 for all four clinics. This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning and to get ready for the upcoming Moscow Parks and Recreation season. Registration (form attached) is due December 7, the day of the Christmas Program! Enrollment is limited to the first 40 players.
Final Exams: The secondary students will be taking finals next week. Please see the attached schedule for details.
Trivia Day: Next Friday, after finals, we will play our traditional game of “Logos Trivial Pursuit” and have a pizza party. Guys: please bring six “individual” drinks – cans of pop, bottles of water, or Gatorade (No two-liter bottles please). Ladies: please bring something for dessert.
Secondary Ties: We have a new stock of secondary school ties available in front office
Junior High Drama Director: We are looking for a Junior High Drama Director to start as soon as possible. If you are interested, please send Dr. Stephenson a short resume or note of interest. email@example.com
Help with Keeping the Clock: The high school boys basketball teams are looking for someone to run the clock during home games. If you are interested, please contact Jed Whitling. firstname.lastname@example.org
