General
Open Gym: Due to High Protocol, Open Gym is cancelled this week.
Elementary
Elementary Speech Meet: Friday, October 24.
Parent Teacher Conferences: Parent Teacher Conferences will take place October 23rd and 24th in the morning and late afternoon. We are looking forward to meeting with you!
Secondary
Secondary Speech Meet 7th-9th: October 31.
New PE Teacher: We are delighted to report that the board unanimously decided to hire Mr. Justin Spencer to teach our junior high boys PE class this year. Justin has been volunteering and substituting the PE class since the beginning of the school year, and is excited to be at the helm throughout the rest of the year. Mr. Rusty Olps has decided to further pursue the development of his administrator’s position at Sabbath House, a ministry of Christ Church. We are very grateful for Rusty’s service to the school, especially in the first quarter of this year as we have been looking for the right person to fill his shoes. Well done, Mr. Olps, and blessings on your new endeavors!
Study Tip for the Week
From this point on, the speech meet judges will not have a copy of each student’s selection in front of them. If your child misses a word or even a whole line from his selection, the best thing to do is – smile and keep on reciting. If the student continues on confidently after a mistake, there’s a good chance that no one else will even notice.
