General
New Enrollment: We are currently processing new applications for the 2017-18 school year. Please see the school website for the online application.
Elementary
Preschool-1st Grade Midterms: Midterms came home last Wednesday. Please sign the bottom of the form and return it by this Wednesday.
2nd-6th Grade Midterms: A blank midterm form came home last Wednesday. Please log on to Renweb and help your child complete it. Our goal is to encourage families to check out Renweb and to help students use the midterm to plan for improvement in any areas that may need work. Please return these forms by this Wednesday.
Spelling Bee: The 1st – 6th graders will be competing in an in-school spelling bee February 9. Lists and rules are posted on the website under Academics/Elementary Program/Spelling Bee.
Secondary
Secondary Grades: We are halfway through the 3rd quarter and grades are current in RenWeb. This would be a good time to sit down with your secondary student and check on their progress.
Rhetoric Speech Meet (10th-12th Grade): The meet will take place February 24. More details are available on the school website.
Secondary Student Surveys
We have our secondary students evaluate each class they take twice a year. Here are a few things that students had to say about Mr. Garfield last semester:
-He enjoys what he teaches.
-History is lots of fun with Mr. Garfield.
-Mr. Garfield is an amazing teacher. He is my favorite. He is encouraging and challenging. I have learned more than I ever thought I would. Thank you for your kind and understanding attitude. I look forward to each class period with him.
-I like your willingness to hear my opinion.
-This is definitely my favorite class. I’ve never enjoyed history so much!
-A characteristic that impresses me most about this teacher is that he is a very Godly man who knows the Bible.
-Mr. Garfield is an amazing teacher. He helps me to understand the Bible more clearly and he is very punny.
-He makes coming to history enjoyable and fun. The class discussions are helpful and I look forward to coming to this class because of Mr. Garfield.
-Mr. Garfield loves history, and is always willing to show you how God has written it.
-He pushes us to be better actors and actresses every time we are in class. He pushes hard, but makes it fun with his puns.
-He is always cheerful and happy-thank you!
