LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2013/14 – #30

General

Summer Camps: We are excited to offer camps in basketball, volleyball, football, mountain biking, art, sewing, photography, and more this summer. The 2014 Summer Camp brochures can be found on the school website under Life at Logos.

No School Friday/Monday: In celebration of Easter, we will not have school this Friday or next Monday. Have a great time with your families.

Fight’n Knight Day: This Wednesday the secondary students will be heading out to do their service projects as part of Knights’ Festival. The elementary is welcome to join them in wearing their fighting knight shirts and nice jeans to school on Wednesday. Since we have Friday off, there is no dress uniform day this week.

Elementary

5th Grade Teachers: I am very grateful to report that Jim Becker has graciously agreed to teach part-time in the elementary next year. He will be the morning 5th grade teacher and Jonathan Erber has been hired to teach in the afternoons.

Free Elementary Movie: The Secondary Student Council would like to invite all the elementary families and teachers to a free movie!  Hosted by the Nuart Theater, we will be showing Swiss Family Robinson, Monday, April 21st (no school) at 1:00 pm, free of charge.  Come join us for a family fun, action-packed afternoon!

SATs: The 1st-6th graders will be taking the Stafford Achievement Tests on the week of May 5th. Please avoid scheduling appointments at this time if at all possible.

Secondary

Knights’ Festival: Please see the school website for details on Knights’ Fest. It is an incredible week of singing, basketball, volleyball, archery, chess, workshops (the theme is art this year), dancing, sword fighting, dessert competitions, special guest speakers, art contests, service projects, feasting, and more!

Cheers,

Matt Whitling
