LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2010 – Summer #3

2010-11 Information: Please check the Principal’s Page for the updated school supply list, uniform guidelines, secondary fall schedule, etc…

Elementary and Secondary Class Registration: Registration for all Logos students will take place on August 16-17 between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.  Please make time on one of these days for at least one parent to come by the front office for 15 minutes and register (students are not required to attend).  This cannot be done over the phone or via email as there are certain forms (immunizations, emergency forms, etc.) that need to be signed and updated before the first day of school.  The student/parent handbooks, locker lists, and more will be available to pick up at this time.  The top three elective choices for your secondary student need to be provided on one of these days.  All senior course choices must be provided at this time as well.  If you are planning to be out of town during registration, please come ASAP later that week to register (no early registrations, please.).

Elementary PE:  Our elementary PE program is staffed by volunteers.

If you are interested in volunteering to help out by teaching your child’s PE class, please contact me this summer.  Each PE class meets twice a week for 30 minutes. The following classes have volunteers:

Preschool, Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 4th Grade (1st, 5th, and 6th are still available).

Senior Course Options (Due TODAY): Those who will be participating in senior course options (independent studies, internships, or college courses) need to submit their proposals today. These are due on August 9 to Mr. Whitling via email (mwhitling@gmail.com). See the following link for details.

There are a few opportunities for seniors to work in the Logos Elementary classes as part of an internship.  See Mr. Whitling for details.

Extracurricular FYI: Every 9th and 11th grade student participating in an athletic activity must have a physical performed and this form https://logosprincipalspage.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/physicalexam.pdf
