General

Individual Picture Day: Tomorrow (Wednesday) is picture day.  Students are not required to wear their school uniform, but they should dress up for the day.

Friday: This Friday we will begin our normal pattern of wearing our dress uniforms.  Sometimes it is tempting to want to slide into the weekend both mentally and physically.  By dressing up we want to remind ourselves and each other to finish strong.

Elementary

Elementary Back to School Night: Please save Friday, September 4 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on your calendar.  Back to School Night is a time to meet your child’s teacher and find out more about the school and class.  Parents only, please.

Secondary

Honors Designation: This year we will be offering students in a select number of our upper level classes the option of completing advanced studies in order to receive the designation of “Honors” on their transcript.  See the attachment for details.  The honors classes offered this year are: Physics, Apologetics, Latin 10, British Literature, and Classical Literature.

Secondary Back to School Night: This year we are trying something completely different for Secondary Back to School Night.  On September 11 from 7:00-9:00 PM we will re-enact, in miniature, a secondary school day.  This is an opportunity for parents to come and sit under the instruction of their child’s teachers as we move through all seven periods contained in a normal school day.  Come and learn apologetics from Mr. Euhus, Classical Literature from Mrs. Marston and PE from Mrs. Spencer as we help provide a fuller picture of what your secondary student receives each day.
