LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2019 – #11

General
Curriculum ½ Day: December 20 we will have an early dismissal at 12:30 so that teachers can meet and work on improving the Logos curriculum. The secondary students will have final exams that morning, elementary students will wrap up the second quarter, and then we’ll send the students home early for Christmas break.

Elementary
6th Grade Play: This Friday Mrs. Kappmeyer and Mrs. Anderson’s class will be performing in the gym. The show will open with a recitation by Mrs. Calene and Miss Wilson’s 4th grade class at 8:35. All are welcome!

Secondary
Choir Festival: The high school choir is headed to Spokane to participate in the ACCS Northwest Choral Festival at the Oaks Classical Christian Academy this Friday, November 8. Almost every student in our high school is in the choir this year, so there will not be high school classes that day, except for Greek.
Dialectic Speech Meet 7th-9th: November 15 is the dialectic speech meet. There will be an awards assembly for all 7th-12th graders in which some of the superior speeches will be delivered at 2:30 in the gym. All are welcome to attend.
High School Boys Basketball: The boys begin on 11/15. All 9th and 11th graders coming out for basketball need to have a physical on file with the school before the first day of practice. All 10th and 12th graders coming out for basketball need to have an Interim Questionnaire Form on file with the school before the first day of practice. These forms can be found on the school website under the Athletics tab. The participation fee for High school basketball is $90 per athlete. Students must have earned a 2.5 GPA or higher the previous quarter in order to play.
