To our Logos friends,
A brief update on the Circuit Breakers trip to the European Open Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark – It was Incredible!! It took nearly 10 hrs to get there, but it was worth it! We met kids from 29 different countries – we had our picture taken with the Mexicans, laughed with the Australians, and played cards with the Egyptians! There was some very stiff competition and many of these teams had been to this championship year after year and brought all of their trophys to prove it! We were very honored to be there and we gleaned as much as we could from the ‘experts’. For robot performance we were 23rd out of 50 teams. Brazil took home the top robot performance trophy with 3 perfect scores. Denmark was honored with the Champions Award which is the top award overall. We are anxiously awaiting our final ranking which takes into accout our scores in research presentation, robot performance, programming and technical presentation, and teamwork. In addition to the competition, we also toured the Lego factory (and were each given our own Bionicle set!), visited Legoland, and spent several days sightseeing in Copenhagen. We saw amazing castles and churches that were much older than anything here in the States. It was incredible! We were even able to spend a couple hours in Malmo, Sweden before our plane took off. Thank you again for all of your prayers and financial support. This trip of a lifetime would not have been possible if it wasn’t for the support of all of you.
With much appreciation,
The Circuit Breakers
