Cancellation or Delayed Start Time: Logos School very rarely closes, but in case of closure or delay due to severe weather, Mr. Whitling or Mr. Euhus will send out an official email by 7 am. Closure/delay information will also be posted on our website, specifically as an update on the “Parent Portal” page. Do not assume that Logos School is closed if other schools are closed; every school district makes its own determination. If Logos School stays open and you do not think it safe to travel to school, please do what you deem best for your family. We will help students make up any missed work.
There will be a Fight’n Knight Day tomorrow, December 1st, to support the boys’ basketball team as they host Deary HS. JV will start @ 6:00 pm and Varsity @ 7:30 pm.
The Christmas Concert will be 7:00 pm Friday, December 9th, at the Nazarene Church.
The Christmas Ball will take place Friday, December 2nd, hosted by the 8th-grade class. This is for Logos students only. Dress: GENTLEMEN – Dress shirts, ties, and slacks. Ties must be worn for admittance. LADIES – Below the knee-length dresses or skirts. Modest necklines only (no strapless tops, halter tops, or spaghetti straps). SHOES – Clean shoes on the floor only; no dress shoes or high heels. 6-7:30 pm for Elementary, 7:30-8 pm practice dance, 8-10 pm for Secondary. Price is $5 per person or $15 per family. Please pay at the door.
Exciting News! Our dear Mrs. Karla Porras is expecting a baby in April! As Mrs. Porras will be moving on to more important things, we would like to plant the seed to see if anyone would be interested in filling her ½ time secretary role at Logos South. If you are interested in this role (beginning sometime in spring) please email Kalen Brockwalder.

Keeping sick children home: Please keep your child at home if he has a fever over 100 degrees. The child can return to school after he has been fever free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medicine such as Tylenol or Motrin). A student with diarrhea and/or vomiting should stay home and return to school only after being symptom-free for 24 hours. https://logosschool.com/for-parents/sick-children/
Elementary Play: Logos South is excited about our first assembly this Friday. Mrs. Nuttbrock’s class will be performing a 2nd-grade classic, A New Coat for Anna. The play will begin at 8:30 am @ Logos South.

Elective Choices for the second semester will be coming out this week. Watch for instructions.
Secondary Finals Week is December 12-16. The detailed schedule can be accessed from our website here and is posted on the front office window. General Finals Schedule:
Monday: Review day; Spanish III final, normal class schedule
Tuesday: Review day; Junior High will conduct a review for 6th-period classes (Latin 7, Latin 8, Latin 8 (H), and Pre-Algebra) during 5th period (after lunch). The PE Final will be during 6th and 7th periods. HS will conduct protocol training during 5th period. All other classes will meet at their regularly scheduled times and classrooms.
Wednesday: Finals – 8:25-12:05, Reviews – 12:40-2:25; 11th Grade Honors Pre-Calculus will conduct its review from 2:30-3:20. All other classes will be released at 2:25.
Thursday: Finals – 8:25-12:05, Reviews – 12:40-2:25; All classes will be released at 2:25.
Friday: Finals – 8:25-12:05; All classes will be released at 12:15 following locker inspections.
————- ACTIVITIES ————
Jr High Drama production will begin rehearsals after Christmas break. Auditions will be on December 7 and 8. Please contact Abby Holloway. Performances will be February 23-25.
Boys and girls JH basketball will begin after Christmas break. All 6-8th grade students are welcome to participate. All students are required to have the proper paperwork on file. If your student played a fall sport we already have their paperwork. More details will be coming soon.
