Latin tutoring this summer:  Our excellent 3rd grade Latin teacher, Katie Close, will be offering Latin tutoring this summer for elementary and JH students.  Please contact her for more information at: kt.close.cupcakes@gmail.com 

————-  ELEMENTARY  ————-

Assembly: This Friday’s assembly at South opens with Mrs. Carlson’s 1st-grade class play.  We will begin at 8:30 a.m.  Parking is available in front of the school, in the grassy area directly behind the school, and in the Canon Press warehouse parking lot. Please do not park along the highway or the loop behind the school. We look forward to seeing you!

Class Recitations at South:  Due to parking constraints, recitations will not take place during our assemblies.  Kelly Driskill has volunteered to video and post our recitations on Facebook and Instagram for you to enjoy.  Thank you for understanding.

Grandparents’ Day Projects: Please keep these simple. We do not expect you to spend lots of time or money on this. If you run into trouble, please check with your classroom teacher for help.

Preschool: We are looking to open an additional section of preschool for the 2022-23 school year.  The final decision will be made on May 15th. Please contact Tracie Handel if you have any questions.

New Hires: Mrs. Calene (4th grade) will be leaving us to focus more time on her family.  Mrs. Tollefson  (4th grade) will also be cutting back to assist her husband in his business.  Please join us in welcoming Miss Sarah Morgan and Mrs. Joy Unger to the main campus.  Both teachers will be teaching 4th-grade full-time.  In addition, we also welcome Miss Kelsey Williams to the main campus.  She will be teaching 4th-grade half-time with Mrs. Sumpter.  Welcome to Logos!

————-  SECONDARY ————-

Secondary Assembly on Tuesday, May 3.    Pastor Doug Wilson will be presenting on the topic of Pornography for our May assembly.  All secondary dads are invited to show up at 7:45 am in the gym to partake in coffee, donuts, and conversation with Pastor Wilson, Superintendent Whitling, and Principal Wiggins before Pastor Wilson addresses the student body at 8:25 am.  Please RSVP to mainoffice@logosschool.com

————- ACTIVITIES  ————

Fall Musical: We are excited to announce that Donna Grauke will be directing a production of the Sound of Music next fall.  Students will be auditioning for roles in the coming weeks.  If you would like to be involved with the production please contact Janna Shaw at jannalshaw@gmail.com.  A few elementary students will be needed for the HS fall production of The Sound of Music. The roles of the three youngest Von Trapp children are open to elementary-aged students.  The characters are girls ages 6, 7, and 9.    If your daughter would be interested in auditioning for one of these roles please contact Janna Shaw for an application.  If your application is approved you will be contacted to schedule an audition later this semester.

New Volleyball Coach:  We are very excited to announce that Mr. Jim Becker has agreed to be our Varsity VB Coach for next fall.  Coach Becker has many years of experience coaching high school volleyball in Colorado and he has been both a junior high and JV coach here at Logos.  We believe he will be a real blessing to our program.  If you are interested in helping Coach Becker with our volleyball program at any level please contact him directly or Mr. Lopez at plopez@logosschool.com.

Positions Open:

  • Head Coach: We have multiple coaching openings for the 2022-23 school year.  If you or someone you know is interested in coaching next year please contact plopez@logosschool.com.  We are looking for varsity coaches for Boys and Girls Basketball.  We are looking for coaches at the sub-varsity level in many sports.

  • AD Office Staff: The Activities Department has an opening for a part-time secretary for next year.  Duties include assisting with communication, paperwork, and accounting.   Experience with Quickbooks is preferred but not required.  If interested, please contact Mr. Lopez in the Activities Department to apply.  plopez@logosschool.com
