————- GENERAL ————- Front Office: Our beloved Mrs. Farrell and her family will be moving to the Coeur d’Alene area this summer. We will really miss her first-rate organization and gracious excellence in the front office. Elementary Teacher Workday: no school for all elementary students on Monday, May 23 Field Day for 1st-6th graders will be held at East City Park on Tuesday, May 24. We will start at 1:30 and end at 3:00. We are not providing transportation back to Logos. Please plan on picking up your student(s) at 3:00. After dismissal from school (11:20 South 1st grade, 11:30 South 2nd grade, 11:50 main campus) students can go home, change clothes, have lunch, and meet us at East City Park. ————- SECONDARY ————- Senior Thesis Defense Assembly: Due to unexpected changes in scheduling we moved our Senior Thesis Defense assembly to Thursday, May 12 (tomorrow) 8:25-9:15am in the Logos Field House. During this assembly, Kenny Kline (Class of ‘22 Valedictorian and National Merit Scholar) and Kaylee Vis (National Merit Scholar) will present their thesis defenses. Kenny will address the question of whether or not technology poses a threat to creative work in the modern economy, and Kaylee will address the moral question of in vitro fertilization. The senior thesis is the capstone assignment for Logos graduates and therefore we encourage all Logos parents but especially parents of our secondary students to attend. Secondary Finals Schedule: The secondary finals schedule for Spring 2022 can be accessed here. ————- ACTIVITIES ———— Summer Camps are now open for registration. Activities include volleyball, football, basketball, lacrosse, cross country, camping, gardening, painting, writing, and Latin. There is something for everyone. The camp form is available online on the school website. Please use a separate registration form for each student. Michael Bostick, our JH football Coach is offering some special opportunities for our athletes this summer and is doing it as a fundraiser for our football programs.
