LOGOS SCHOOL UPDATE – 2017 – #18
General
Reenrollment: Reenrollment is now open via Renweb and will be open through January 22nd. Please see the email from Mr. Euhus that came out today.
Elementary
Spelling Bee: The 1st – 6th graders will be competing in an in-school spelling bee February 9. Lists and rules are posted on the website under Academics/Elementary Program/Spelling Bee.
Elementary Basketball Clinics: Saturday Hoops will run for one more Saturday!
Secondary
Secondary Assembly: This Thursday morning at 8:25 in the gym Pastor Toby Sumpter will be speaking to our secondary students on “Life Between the Sexes.” As always, parents are welcome to attend.
CTP 4 Tests (standardized testing for 7th-9th grades): Testing will take place next week. Please avoid appointments during this week.
Rhetoric Speech Meet (10th-12th Grade): The meet will take place February 24. More details are available on the school website.
Secondary Student Surveys
We have our secondary students evaluate each class they take twice a year. Here are a few things that students had to say about Mr. Erber this semester:
-Mr. Erber is always happy and a friendly teacher. He is good on using time and staying on topic.
-The characteristic that impresses me the most is that he is really focused on his job, which is to prepare us for the concert.
-He is lots of fun and likes to teach what he teaches.
-He is awesome! Jokes a lot and makes us laugh.
-He enjoys being a music teacher!
-He’s really cheerful all through class and disciplines consistently.
-He is an awesome singer!
-He is very nice. I enjoy choir a lot.
-Mr. Erber is fun and energetic.
-He makes sure we understand the music. We do it over and over again until we get it right. He smiles a lot.
-I’m impressed with his passion for music and his passion for cars.
-Mr. Erber is a fantastic teacher. I enjoy learning from him and consistently look forward to each class with him. It will be a sad day when I have to leave. He is one of my favorite teachers.
-The songs this year are great! He makes choir such a fun down to earth class.
-He is always very joyful, he loves teaching us.
-Choir is one of my favorite classes! Super fun!
